Tara Zepel is a researcher, theorist, and intermittent artist at the intersection(s) between aesthetics, interactivity and technology. Her current research explores how experience and awareness are made perceptible through our interactions with and within computing systems – systems that are increasingly embedded, networked and social.
She is an avid educator, a graduate researcher for the Software Studies Initiative at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and a graduate fellow at the Center for Design and Geopolitics (D:GP). She holds a B.A. in Literature from Duke University and is currently pursuing a PhD in the Art History, Theory & Criticism at UCSD.
