Stephanie Pereira makes it happen. Prior to working at Kickstarter, she was Associate Director: Learning & Engagement at Eyebeam Art + Technology Center, and has worked with a number of arts organizations, galleries and festivals to curate and produce creative programs for adults and youth. She holds an MA in Arts Administration from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a BFA in Visual Art from Rutgers University.
She is part of The 2050 Group, a new group of thought leaders invested in exploring new models for arts integrated learning in our public education system. The mission of the group is school reform that favors learner-centered experiences, where the arts are celebrated, and cultural diversity and inclusiveness are met with pedagogical rigor. The group's activities include a private discussion group, staging public events, and publishing.
