Roberta Brandao is a designer, CG animator, and university professor. A native of Rio de Janeiro, she expanded her citizenship to the U.S. while teaching and performing CG production for TV, film, and interactive media in the Bay Area for over a decade. The Centre George Pompidou, SIGGRAPH, Spike & Mikes, and Anima Mundi have all showcased her work and her awards include NCGA, Imagina, BDA, and Prix Ars Electronica. She holds a B.A. in Design from ESDI-Rio, an M.A. from The Advance Computing Center for the Arts & Design at the Ohio State University, and is a qualified Psychology Ph.D. candidate at PUC-Rio. Her current research investigates how young generations fabricate and make creative discoveries playing with interactive digital media. She works as a digital media consultant for the Rio Film Institute and the Park Library Initiative at the State Secretary of Culture in Rio.
