Professor Mike Neary is the Dean of Teaching and Learning at the University of Lincoln (UK). Before becoming an academic Mike worked in the informal education sector, designing and running education projects outside of mainstream schooling in London, England. His current work involves curriculum development in higher education inside and outside of the university. These projects are based on critical engagement with critical pedagogy and popular education. Mike is a founder member of the Social Science Centre, a worker-student co-operative in Lincoln. He is currently writing a book Student as Producer. How Do Revolutionary Teachers Teach?, to be published by Zero Books in 2012.
