Lula Brown is a senior at Eugene Lang College, set to graduate in December 2011. After leaving high school a year early to participate in the M/TS Honors Program at Rockland Community College and study abroad in Florence, Italy, Lula returned to New York to study Culture and Media with an emphasis in Digital Media, Marketing and Journalism. At Rockland Community College, she focused on education techniques, delivering a well-received speech on dialogue-based learning, condemning the stifling monologue technique so often used in mainstream schools. In the Fall of 2010, Lula successfully interned at Free Agent Media and TravelSquire.com magazine, where she handled all social media for the company as well as contributed to two columns in the magazine. She is currently a marketing assistant and reporter at CREEM Magazine, an upcoming fashion and lifestyle publication. As she enters her final semester at Eugene Lang, she will be interning at Tamara York PR, a successful public relations firm based in TriBeCa, New York. Lula plans to eventually reach the position of Editor or Marketing Director of an established New York-based publication.
