Daria Ng holds a BS from New York University in English Education and a MA from Teachers College, Columbia University in the Teaching of English, where she focused on the theories and practices of teaching for social justice. At Global Kids, Daria manages and implements digital media projects that educate and engage young people about global issues and civic engagement. She uses a variety of digital tools and assessments to bring forth the voices of young people as they use new media to think critically about the world around them. Previously, she was the Education Manager at the Museum of Chinese in America, overseeing K-12 school and family programs and professional development workshops for educators. She also developed media literacy projects for teenagers and managed their social media and website content. Daria has taught middle and high school English in New York City public schools and abroad in Peru, China, and India.
