Caroline Buck is a rising senior at Duke University, and will be graduating with a B.A. in International Comparative Studies, a minor in Cultural Anthropology and a certificate in Information Studies & Information Science. Caroline has explored these fields of study in hopes of focusing on global social change and digital media technologies in her post-graduate endeavors.
During her time at Duke she has been a part of Mi Gente, the Latino Student Association, and served as the Political Affairs Co-Chair, in which she helped plan the United College Conference. She recently
completed a semester studying abroad in Madrid, Spain, where her immersion in a different education system from the one she has always known led her to become very interested in the global differences in education As a result, she is now Co-President of the Global Education Office Student Committee at Duke. Caroline is also an International House Orientation Peer at Duke, mentoring first year international students, and a student assistant at the Sports Information Office.
Caroline's most recent and eye-opening immersion in digital learning was through Professor Cathy Davidson’s course “This Is Your Brain On The Internet” which encouraged her to become involved in
MobilityShifts and introduced her to emerging digital media initiatives.
