MobilityShifts is a weeklong summit all across The New School, featuring media scholars, learning scientists, designers, librarians, artists, and a wide range of educators. With participants from 21 countries, this summit explores the challenges and promise of learning with digital media. We invite you to work alongside leading thinkers and help bring outstanding programming to the New School community. MobilityShifts will not be possible without your help!! The summit needs volunteers for its over 100 events to assist in setting up talks, panels and workshops, run registration tables, greet and usher attendees. Help support the MobilityShifts summit by volunteering and receive a free extra ticket to the summit and free meals! There are three types of volunteer positions:
Registration: Registration volunteers will be responsible for registration and check-in. They will also serve at the information desk, providing conference information, directions and schedules to guests. A basic knowledge of computers is required.
Event Support: Event support volunteers will be responsible for room set-up, Audio/Visual set up and support, and check in for preregistered events. Audio/Visual training will be provided.
Guest Support: Guest support volunteers are responsible for directing guests, maintenance of signage and badge checks.
